I contacted Eddie after he was recommended to me by a friend. I had failed numerous tests beforehand through learning with another school and had absolutely no confidence! Eddie taught me loads of new techniques and more importantly restored my confidence. I never ever thought I would pass my test but thanks to Eddie I did 
Eddie has a brilliant teaching method and knows exactly how to motivate you - I should have been learning with him years ago, I would have saved a fortune!

I was recommended to do my driving lessons with Eddie Manson by my friend Craig Stevenson because he enjoyed doing his lessons with him.
I have recently passed my test and all because of Eddie, he is by far the best driving instructor in Edinburgh and he is fully qualified to do Pass Plus aswell!.
The Gyle Driving School is the way to go... fantastic instructor and fantastic car what more could you want. I think Eddie has really good people skills, patience and understanding. The best thing he does is he will let you make the mistake so that you learn from it which then helps you into doing the right thing.
I would recommend Eddie to anyone who is looking for driving lessons because he is a great guy and an excellent instructor.

I had a reasonable amount of experience driving with my parents before recieving lessons from Eddie. While my driving was reasonable, it needed improving for the test. Eddie covered all the bases improving my observations, signalling and importantly my maneouvers. I got bypass and country road experience which has been invaluble since passing. Going into the test I felt fully prepared thanks to some great teaching and I thoroughly enjoyed every lesson.

I would like to thank Eddie, my driving instructor, for helping me pass my practical driving test. Eddie was not only proffessional to work with, but he was also extremely down to earth. This made the lessons very enjoyable and fun. However, Eddie's greatest asset, in my opinion, would have to be his patience. No matter how many times you did something wrong he would never get irritated with you.

Before starting my lessons with the Gyle Driving School I had had several lessons with a different instructor, I was finding it very difficult adapting to his teaching methods and ended up giving up learning for a while. I was recommended to the Gyle Driving School by a friend and I was lucky enough to have Eddie as my instructor. Eddie had a completely different teaching method to my previous instructor and he made me feel at ease behind the wheel. Not only was I always praised for the good lessons I had but on the occasions where I was finding a particular lesson or manoeuvre difficult Eddie was always very reassuring, patient and understanding. Where I once used to dread having a driving lesson, Eddie managed to change the way I felt about driving and I always left a lesson looking forward to my next one. Thanks to Eddie I passed my test first time and now enjoy the freedom of driving my own little car.
Eddie is an amazing instructor and choosing to learn with him was the best choice I ever made! I'd recommend Eddie and the Gyle Driving School to everyone!

My Instructor Eddie is very patient and funny to talk to but above all very professional and organized.
His lessons where always very structured and he always remembered what was covered on the previous lesson and what was still to be improved.
I have always felt like somebody special not just another customer.
Eddie had excellent teaching methods and he was doing his best to explain things in possibly the most efficient manner. He had his road examples book handy and on one occasion even brought me an air photo print out of a spiral roundabout I had a huge problem with.
I really liked Eddie’s idea of having disinfecting gel for your hands in his car.
Eddie did a couple of mock driving tests with me and gave me a very good explanation what would be required to pass the actual driving test.
While certainly not the natural born driver I have passed my exam at the first attempt!!!

I started lessons with Eddie just over a week past my 17th Birthday! Overall I had about 16 lessons which were great and gave me a lot of confidence on the road! Just over 2 months past my 17th birthday I sat my test and passed it first time!!! I don't think I could possibly have done without Eddie! Excellent driving school, highly recommended!! *****
