Hi Eddie, Let me start by saying sorry its taken me FOREVER to put this on as I passed nearly a year ago! I was a nervous passenger and so had to get my own car but first I had to get a license which I did. After many lessons with a different driving school who just got me to drive around so he could look at girls not any thing that would be in my test! that all changed when I came to gyle driving school, Eddie was great as I know I can been "challenging" (to say the least!!!) but Eddie never once lost his cool (a real sound guy) any way to cut a long story short I had lessons with Eddie and got passed my test which meant no more relying on other folk for a lift or being a nervous passenger. Eddie is an amazing instructor who makes you feel at ease when learning. He helps you to build your confidence from the minute you sit in the driving seat Every lesson always includes a good laugh, so i would certainly recommend Eddie and the Gyle Driving School.

Passed my test on the 20th of December on my first attempt! Eddie was great, I never would've passed it if he hadn't been such a great instructor - I had no confidence when I started and I felt like it took me ages to get the hang of it, but Eddie made sure that I knew what I was doing.
I definitely recommend him to everyone!

Just passed my driving test with Eddie. I couldn't recommend him more highly, he is an excellent instructor and a really lovely guy. His instructions are clear and concise, and he is calm and reassuring when things don't go so well. His availability is excellent and really helped me out of a tight situation before my theory test ran out.
Thank you sooo much Eddie, I really appreciate all your help..and hope Santa brings you that iPad- it could be really useful in lessons!

I would highly reccomend Eddie! I have had two women instructors and none of them come close to Eddie with his patience and the confidence he gives you which helped me to pass first time! in my opinion he is the best driving instructor in Edinburgh! thanks again for helping me pass

just passed my test today could'nt have done it without eddie's help . I would highly recommend the gyle driving school . i wouldnt say i was the easiest person to teach but eddie was very patient and encouraging i passed second time after failing 1st time eddie made sure we worked on what i failed on to ensure i felt at ease with them on my next attempt and it worked i passed with very few minor faults ! so a massive thanks again to eddie for his help!

Just passed my test on Tuesday (3rd of October), On my second attempt. I couldnt have got through it at all and as comfortably the second time without the great help of Eddie, after failing my first attempt all Eddie done was help me focus on getting through my test the next time, his relaxed and friendly approach made it a lot easier to focus on the driving as well as have a good laugh at the same time.

Guy pitty he's a hearts fan which does not make it easy being a hibby but makes you feel at ease in the car and a great way of teaching makes driving easy with him ! And you get a good banter !!!

Eddie's structured approach is the best preparation I can think of for taking the test. I passed first time after enrolling with him.

sorry i have been so long in adding my coments, i passed my test on the 19th of july 2011 and would like to thank eddie for getting me through my mission to pass before my big 50 birthday, anyone thinking of taking driving lessons go with eddie as he has the patients off a saint,great teaching skills and helps you feel relaxed on your lesson. never thought i would be driving but eddie had faith in me and got me through my test in 6 months. thanks eddie.

thought i would never take it all in !
even when i took my test thought i was gonna fail but eddie had me ready,
excellent instructor explained things brilliantly when you do things wrong
had him sweating a few times through lessons and still he never let it show,
patient as hell especially with me who it took longer than most to sink in with.

Eddie is an amazing driving instructor, he is kind, funny and most importantly calm when i mucked up. He managed to change a me into a competent driver in just 20 lessons. The car is also awesome.

From the first lesson to the test Eddie made sure I had the confidence in my own abilities which allowed me to sail through the test....got to credit him with a lot of praise for being able to put right any mistakes I made in the lessons and ensure that the corrections were carried to the test and beyond, always willing to listen and take the time to explain things in a way that was easily understood. Eddie is very patient and easy to talk to but above all that is a very professional instructor.
His lessons where very organized and he always remembered what was covered on the previous lesson and what was still to be improved.
Eddie had excellent teaching methods and he was always doing his best to explain things in possibly the most efficient manner. He had his road examples book handy and an air photo print out of a couple roundabouts I had a huge problem with.
While certainly I am not the born driver I have passed my exam at the second attempt!!!
